    by Pragmatist:

I’ve struggled my adult life trying to cook. Even basic recipes I manage to ruin the meat. So I gave up and ate out almost every meal. This was unhealthy and I gained a LOT! of weight and have high blood pressure. When I saw the original Meater, I was intrigued with the idea of something automating cooking steaks in particular. I bought the original Meater about 5 months ago and it really did change my life. I still eat out, but only 2-3 times per week. I have lost weight, have more energy, and blood pressure went down. All in 5 months. Even if you don’t buy a Meater, just stop eating out and it helps.
A few days ago, I saw this new Meater+ that now has a built in extender in the charger. I received it 2 days ago and have made Ribeye and Tri-tip already. It works great.

I bought the plus model. Was still wary from reading reviews.I had been using grocery store thermometers and had undercooked and wasted 2-3 chickens and a turkey breast over the last few months.I decided to bite the bullet and spend some money on something better.I had a chicken all lined up for the air fryer and was disappointed to read that this thermometer needs to charge for 4 hours first.

Perfect excuse to eat out.Next night: I slid the thermometer in between the thigh and breast until it was past the line on the thermometer. Placed the turkey In the airfryer, set the temp, and went to the couch. The thermometer and my phone connected quickly and it showed my the ambient temp and current chicken temp. It let me pick an alarm temp and even was able to estimate time to completion accurately.

Yesterday I made Cornish game hens and they were perfect.

    by EggEggx:

When I found out that an even longer ranged version of this product came out I had to get it. I love the original thermometer but to get the extra range I needed a second phone of which I do not have. But anyway, having this plus version really helps. It’s really smart of them to put a signal booster for the Bluetooth inside the charger! When you use it though make sure to keep the charger close to your oven. If you’re on the fence about spending the extra $$ for this plus version, don’t be, get the plus…you’ll thank me later.

    by J. Moreno:

Avid backyard barbecuer. Was in the market to replace my oldschool thermometer dial probe with a digital one and came across the Meater+. Checked out their site and compared to some of the other digital ones the design and description of the Meater+ caught my attention so I decided to try it out. Skeptical because I just spent $100 on a thermometer but I have to say it was money well spent. I like the compact design and magnetic battery cover. The phone app was easy to navigate through, thermometer was easy to turn on and once I had everything set and the meat on the grill the rest was easy also. I just left it alone and reluctantly walked away – I’m usually one to stand by the grill and tend to the meat. Had no problem keeping tabs from my phone inside or out in front of the house. Got the 130 temp notification and cut my steak in half to see a perfect medium rare. Can’t wait to try it on other meats on the grill and I’m going to get another to keep and use in the kitchen. Highly recommend as a bbq and kitchen tool.

    FAQ And Answer:

Is there a 2 Probe Unit available in the 165+ Foot (extended) version?

If you’re referring to a 2-unit bundle of MEATER+, yes!

Is it safe to use in a 400F oven?

Yup! MEATER can help cook delicious roasted chicken, turkey, tri-tip, etc. :) The ambient sensor max is 527°F.

    Does it work with alexa

Yep! Download the MEATER skill and you can ask Alexa updates about your cook.

    How accurate is MEATER thermometer?

MEATER’s internal sensor is accurate to 0.5 of a degree celsius. If you suspect your MEATER is giving incorrect internal readings it is worth considering that probe placement may be the issue. The internal sensor pictured above should be inserted into the thickest part of the meat.

Can you put MEATER in the oven?

The Meater Block comes with four wireless, smart temperature probes for ovens and grills. … They’re often tethered to annoying wires, or they can be inaccurate, or they’re not safe to put in your oven or grill.

    Conclusion

Overall, the Meater is a great device for griller’s who love the convenience of wireless monitoring, and the option of sending alerts to let you know when your meat is finished. With the Meater app, you can monitor the temperature of your meat while in storage, and track temperature over time to ensure that your meat is always safe to eat. It is a definite must-have, and we highly recommend it for anyone who needs wireless control over their meat. The Meater is the most convenient, most accurate, and most convenient way to monitor the temperature of your meat.

This Meater Thermometer is a very accurate, easy-to-use, and smart thermometer that provides feedback on the status of your meat at all times. It’s the perfect companion for anyone that wants to grill at home, and it won’t break the bank. The Meater is a very accurate, easy-to-use, and smart thermometer.
